What is Madu Tualang/Wild Honey/Tropical Forest Honey

Medical research has proven that madu tualang, a type of honey or Wild Honey, can boost the libido besides reducing the threat of lung infections and coughing common in arid desert conditions.

An interim study by Universiti Sains Malaysia’s School of Pathology and Medicine Education Dean Prof Dr Nor Hayati Othman found that certain hormones in madu tualang, also called blackgold honey, can boost the testosterone level in men, which would in turn heighten libido.

The Tualang Tree, one of the oldest around and a fine living specimen is the home of the Apis Dorsatas, world's largest honeybees and the most ferocious. Can be found in North Peninsular Malaysia,such as in Pedu Lake, Kedah.Botanical named Koompassia excelsa (Becc.) Taub.it is said that it can reached 100 to 200 meters tall.
The honeybees build their beads of nests way up on the branches of this gigantic tree about 100 feet from the forest floor as the smooth trunk of the tualang makes it difficult for humans and sunbears from getting at their honey.
The bees are very picky with their abode and return to the same trees year after year, and not all Tualang trees are appropriate.
